• Barry Bonds Guilty of Obstruction of Justice. He's convicted of was for giving an elusive answer under oath about taking steroids, and is not admission of guilt; he will likely be placed under house arrest.
Commentary: This does little to expose Bonds and baseball's "Steroids Era," which is a shame for the fans and the game..

• Jackie Robinson Day April 15. All major league players and managers will wear the #42 to recognized the player who broke the color barrier in baseball.

• Anaheim Courting Sacramento Kings. The City Council approved a bond measure to try and lure Sacramento's NBA team to the Orange County city.
Commentary: Can the LA area support three NBA teams? Well that's not the real question; the issue is do Orange County residents care about the NBA and especially this team?
