PubClub.com is a content-oriented tourist
guide dedicated to social-minded travelers with articles on worldwide
destinations such as Amsterdam, the Greek Islands, Prague, Las Vegas,
Los Angeles, Hawaii, Canada, and more. We also cover what we define
as "special events" such as Oktoberfest in Munich, music festivals
like New Orleans JazzFest, Bay to Breakers in San Francisco and the
crazy Surfest in our hometown of Manhattan Beach, CA.
Through clever and informative writing, photos, video and other means
of communication, we are providing an insider's guide to travel destinations, local pubs, fun clubs, plus sightseeing activities, culture and more.
More than providing long lists of bars, clubs and restaurants, PubClub.com
aims to reach out and explain where to go, when to go and what to do
when you get there on the subject of visiting pubs, clubs and other
nightlife-related activities.

How did we get here? We were frustrated. Allan Kidd had been to Amsterdam
on business at least a dozen times before he began to discover the hidden
secrets of this majestic city. Discussin this with entrepreneur Kevin Wilkeson over beers at their favorite watering
hole, the two friends knew there were other frustrated travelers
who experienced the same issues.
It was out of these personal experiences that PubClub.com
was born.

What we have created is a source of information dedicated to taking
fun-loving travelers by the hand, whisking them past the tourist stops
and putting them in the heart of the hip and happening pubs and clubs.
Through clever and conversational prose, we explain exactly where to
go, when to go and what to expect when they get there. Our goal is to
let our readers know as much about a destination as they know about
their own home town. Every pub, club, bar, restaurant and event has
been personally visited by PubClub.com. We know our business.

Originally, we explored a video series, but the initial time commitment
and start-up costs soon had us searching elsewhere. The Internet provided
the perfect opportunity. But we've still got the video idea out there
– don't be surprised to see PubClub TV on a screen near you soon.
On the website, – which also features select video clips –
we take advantage of Kevin's unique writing style – he has been
published in newspapers and international magazines – and also the experiences and expertise of others in the PubClub family.
PubClub also has a group of ambassadors to promote the site, the lovely PubClubettes. The 2008 PubClub calendar features the PubClubettes and the 2009 calendar will be shot starting in August.
