She is as bubbly as a bottle of champagne on New Year's Eve, as mesmerizing as a martini and, in many ways, as basic as a Budweiser.

Jessa Hinton is Miss July 2011, Playboy Playmate and former Baywatch babe. She's also a reporter for ESPN's Top Rank Boxing and Victory Poker, is the Palms Las Vegas advertising model, has designed swimwear for Affliction clothing and has all manner of interesting activities that shows a depth to her personality that almost requires a scuba tank to explore.

Oh, and she's also in the running for 2012 Playmate of the Year. Although, in May it was announced that Jaclyn Swedberg of Chino Hills, CA, was named 2012 Playmate of the Year.

Miss July 2011 is in the running for Playmate of the Year.

There's more to Jessa Hinton than a pretty face and big boobs.

In this interview with PubClub.com, Jessa talks about a wide range of topics, but let's first start with what it's like being a Playmate. You'll note that for a girl who covers boxing, she's candid and doesn't pull any punches.

PUBCLUB.COM: You're the July Playmate of the Month! What’s that like?

JESSA HINTON: "It’s weird. People ask if it has closed doors or has it opened doors. Really, it's both. Being a Playmate still holds its status like it did in the 60s and 70s. We have an upper hand when it comes to booking work. But some girls are not as smart as others and don’t use it to get things. You have a shelf life and you need to go after things and not just hope it comes to you."

'I have to know my shit, With Playboy, it's the first thing people rag on. Just because I'm pretty and have big boobs doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about.'

PUBCLUB.COM: What would you do if you were named Playmate of the Year?

JESSA HINTON: "I would cry, It would be a great to be named Playmate of Year. People can vote (she has PubClub.com's!), but Hef is the deciding factor. Part of it is what you've done in the past year and how you will represent Playboy the next year. It's announced in February."

PUBCLUB.COM: Do Playmates party?

JESSA HINTON: "Yes, they party. Although I've never been to a Mansion party. People are like, 'Are you kidding?' I really don’t want to party where I work. BUT, Playboy is know for its crazy parties!"

In her Affliction bikini, Jessa Hinton signs autographs of the July Playboy.

PUBCLUB.COM: Do you consider yourself more of a pubber or a clubber? In other words, do you like casual bars or go dancing at clubs?

JESSA HINTON: "Because I really don't drink much anymore, I like low-key places. I won't go to a nightclub. A bar is more intimate and you can talk and shoot the shit for a while. At clubs, you are dancing or drinking. At a dive bar, you are talking. Oh, and I love singing karaoke!"

PUBCLUB.COM: You work out with Mixed Martial Arts boxers at the gym and jumped off a building in Vegas (the bungee at the Stratosphere) Are you a tomboy?

JESSA HINTON: I have my girly side but at home, I wear sweat pants and have my hair in a pony tail. Heels only for work! Now that I’m working so much I don't get to do a lot of what I used to do, such as paintballing and shooting at a gun store.

"On one of my few days off, my boyfriend (professional poker player Dan Blizerian) took me WWII dogfighting. That was awesome! It was very Top Gun and my nickname was Jedi. I ran to the bathroom and got sick! I did aerobatics and he did none. I was so pissed."

PUBCLUB.COM: Since you work for both Top Rank and Victory Poker, who is the better interview, boxers or pokers players?

JESSA HINTON: "They are the same. They have publicists and say the right things. Both talk to girls the same way. It's easier for me to interview boxers because I know more about the sport. Poker kind of goes over my head."

PUBCLUB.COM: Why do you know boxing so well?

JESSA HINTON: "I was originally more of a Mixed Martial Arts girl but once I started working for Top Rank, I wanted to know more about boxing so I did my research. I watched the Al-Frazier documentary and being around boxers, you have a different love for the sport.

"I have to know my shit. With Playboy, it's the first thing people rag on. Just because I'm pretty and have big boobs doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about."

PUBCLUB.COM: What did you think of the end of the Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez fight, when people booed the decision in favor of Pacquiao?

JESSA HINTON: "It was very emotional. A lot of people were upset and confused. I was by the DJ booth interviewing fans and saw Marquez on someone's shoulder and everyone cheering. It was unbelievable. Everybody stayed, too. When the announcer said 'and still defending,' (meaning Pacquiao had won in a decision) everybody went nuts. Water bottles were thrown and people were booing and screaming. I had friends texting me asking me about it. For the fans, it was very sad."

PUBCLB.COM: Ever think poker players are hiding something when you interview them?

JESSA HINTON: "Yeah, it's part of their job. I date a poker player and there’s no filter on him. He gives it to me so straightforward. But to the other players, I say 'come on guys.' "

PUBCLUB.COM: Between boxing and poker, which of the two crowds of fans are the better partiers for going out in Vegas?

JESSA HINTON: "Probably boxers. A lot of them are just in town for the fight, and they have their entourages. The poker players live here." (Note: HInton lives in Vegas but also spends time in L.A.)

PUBCLUB.COM: What's different about the swimwear you are designing as opposed to other bikinis?

JESSA HINTON: "Since I've done modeling since I was 14 (and she was on Baywatch at 16), I know what fits my body well. I never showed off my body much until I was in Playboy. I'm a conservative girl who doesn't want to hang out and with ordinary bathing suits, I would fall out of my top. We have eight bathing suits and they are adjustable, so you can make it full coverage or less coverage. You can also dry clean them because they are higher quality than most other bating suits."

PUBCLUB.COM: Is your goal to get them on girls at the Vegas pool parties?

JESSA HINTON: "Oh yeah, that's my big marketing plan!"

PUBCLUB.COM: You are not shy about admitting you are bisexual and you once said girls who do a couple shots of Patron think they are bisexual. Please elaborate.

JESSA HINTON: "Some girls have a couple of drinks and think they are interested (in other girls). LA and Vegas have a lot of fakeness to them. I'm not that way. If you say you are bisexual but you're not that's not fair to the other person. Don't tempt me.

"I’ve known I liked men and women since I was 14. I have the same amount of women fans as men."

PUBCLUB.COM: Yow work with underprivileged children, which is great. But at the same time, an LA school district got in trouble for inviting a porn star to read to an elementary school class. Please explain your work in this area.

JESSA HINTON: "I donate to a women’s shelter. I try to go once a month and go there every holiday and serve food. Because of this and my background (her parents divorced, her mom left for a while and there were several other issues in her home as a child), I was asked to talk to a group of troubled kids, ages 12-17.

"I drove to Utah (from Las Vegas) and talked to them about what would happen to them and their loved ones if they continued to go down their troubled path. It's one of the most emotional things I've done. You want to help them.

"I saw the story about the porn star and I don't want to fall into that category. I wanted to help kids with their drug and alcohol issues. It's something I'm very passionate about in life."
