PubClubbing and Nightlife in
Seattle

Service with a smile:
Seattle's PubClubbers have a good time on the town.
Bars
and Pubs
Nightclubs
and Dance Clubs
Pick your poison. Nightclubbing in this city
means heading for the area(s) that suits your style. Or your desire.
Seattle is tight enough to be able to hit a couple of these neighborhoodds
in the same night, so hopping from one spot to another is as easy as
hip-hopping.
Belltown. Classy and casual single professionals dining
and drinking in a pristine environment Close to Queen Anne.
Fremont. An artistic-turning-almost-yuppie community
with a cool bar and pub scene. Totally local.
Pioneer Square. Tons of pubs and some of the city's hippest
clubs. Heavy on out-of-towners, too.
Capitol Hill. Trendy and crazy, cross-dressers and spare-changers,
plus the occasional scenesters. Mostly a young crowd, many with tattoos,
spiked colored hair and unconventional clothing. Home to Seattle's grunge
and gay community with a few straight bars and restaurants in the mix.
Seattle's Best Pubs and Clubs

Best Restaurant/Bar: Peso's in Queen Anne. A perfect
place to begin any night. As comfortable as a pancho on a cool Baja
night.
Best Dance Club: Bohemian. This huge, halfway-to-hip-hop
club in Pioneer Square is down-home rustic, has several rooms with different
music and a pair of popular dance-relief bars.
Best Pick-up Club: The easiest place is probably Polly
Esthers, but we like the menu better at Catwalk in Pioneer Square
Best Bar/Best Night of Week: Wednesdays at Belltown Billiards.
A good-looking group piles into this billiards and dance bar, as much
of a Seattle tradition as the Pike Place Market.
Best Damn Sports Bar: The Ram, U District. Lately, the
Fox Sports Grille downtown is stealing the thunder but this is a college
tradition. It has huge TV screens and great stakes. Located on the edge
of campus near Husky Stadium (across from the driving range).
Best Strip Club: It's a bit out of town (there's a no-touch
policy in the city limits) but Rick's in Lake City is worth the
trip. It's a full-contact strip club.
