The scene in wild and crazy Las Vegas from the Strip to the nightclubs.

Halloween Las Vegas Style
The Party is on The Strip and in the Clubs

It's a sexy – not scary – scene for Halloween in Las Vegas.

It's a howl. A screaming good time.

Halloween in Las Vegas is far from horror-ble. It's fun!

There's so much to see and do it's, well, almost frightening.

Walk down the Strip and soak up the scene. Roam the casinos and see things like people in chicken suits playing blackjack. Hit the clubs for some of the most outlandish costumes on the planet. Party alongside Marilyn Monroe, sexy cops, fantasy flight attendants and celebrities, either real or created.

Flight of fancy: Or make that fantasy with all the sexy costumes.

Halloween is everywhere in Las Vegas, which makes it one of the top places to be for this "adultfest" in the USA. For a complete look at all the Halloween happenings around the country, click here.

In Vegas, the party is primarily in three places: The casinos, along the Strip and the clubs. And oh, those clubs. Regardless of the location, it's not a spine-chilling, but an emotionally thrilling, experience

PubClub.com's photo and party guide shows and tells all about spending Halloween in Las Vegas.

– The Casinos –

In addition to people in costumes, casinos get bachlorette parties.

Perhaps the coolest thing about being in Las Vegas for Halloween is cruising the casinos. For it is there that the true identity of Vegas reveals itself.

Even for those who do not gamble heavily, the casinos are the heartbeat of the city. The various themes, indoor malls, restaurants, bars and sports books make them a mecca of activity on any given day. Being there for Halloween only adds to the experience. Looking at people in costumes at the gaming tables brings on smiles like a college tailgate party. Where else can one see someone in a chicken or bunny suit playing blackjack?

The casinos are the perfect pre-party place before hititng the clubs. Or. for those who don't turn into a pumpkin after the clubs close (3 a.m.), as well.

It's no gamble to gamble in costume for Halloween.

The casino scene is a hit for this couple.

– The Clubs –

Fun at the clubs is a big part of the Vegas Halloween party.

Party goers in Vegas are attracted to the clubs like ghosts to a cemetery. These nightclubs are high-end havens that have themed parties, host costume contests, Halloween Eve events and pack in people like kids pack their bellies with candy.

One of the most desirable destinations is TAO, the Asian-themed multi-level, multi-dimensional club in the Venetian. The scene outside the venue tells the story – lines in every direction, busy bouncers rummaging through guest lists and smartly-dressed girls working their looks and costumes to their advantage to get inside and party. Cleveage, it seems, is the most effective attribute to put on display.

It's a packed party crowd at the popular TAO.

Inside, TAO is a witches brew of activity – girls dancing on a platform in the main room surrounded by VIP tables and costumed customers, a jammed Buddah bar, the action-packed adjacent side room, the poolside TAO Beach looking like an adult spring break gone wild. There must be 4,000 people in the place. TAO helps the scene by having sexy girls in skimpy outfits sitting in baths and laying on a love seat giving gentle massages to one another. This is Vegas, baby.

The race car driver gets the green flag.

For a more mellow scene – some might say more manageable – LAVO is a lounge/club that's less hectic but still busy and buzzing. It's also in the Venetian area (Plazzo).

On the other end of the Strip, the New York-New York casino is alive with activity. ROK rocks with its crazy crowd, customer-friendly (to put it mildly) drink pours, GoGo dancers helping to whip up the frenzy and a huge overhead video screen synced to the music pumping up the dance floor.

At ROK, the party patrons are not the only ones in costume.

There's also a patio outside by the Strip under the Brooklyn Bridge replica with a second DJ, an ideal place for those in hot Halloween costumes to cool down. The staff at this club – even at the door – is pub friendly.

ROK is next door to the always-lively Nine Fine Irishmen. There's a fun band – Sin E' Ri-Ra – inspiring a cut-loose crowd that sings and dances to the mostly Irish music. The last set, however, is pure rock 'n roll. Getting in here is easy as there is rarely a line and the cover charge is much smaller than that of the clubs ($5-$10).

A fun band and lively crowd make the Fine Nine a fine destination.

Still more is at Studio 54 in the MGM. In 2009, the club 's two-day party featured an All Hallow's Eve with Vanilla Ice on Friday night and had HollyWeen with Playboy princess Holly Madison with a costume contest offering $10,000 in cash prizes. Every year, the club has "Nightmare on 54th Street" with the entire place resembling a horror movie.

The annual erotic ball, officially called the Fetish & Fantasy Halloween Ball, is at the Hard Rock Hotel. Even for those not going, the Circle Bar is quite the scene.

All the clubs, of course, have parties. And the bars, too. The key is to wear a costume that stands out in the crowd.

– The Strip –

A group does a beer bong right on the Las Vegas strip.

Another aspect unique to Vegas for Halloween is the Strip.

It's good anytime of the day to roam like a mummy.

While the street is not blocked off as it is for New Year's Eve. the sidewalks are this party's hostess. Something like a beer bong bash is capable of breaking out at any time. There's always a number of fun groups walking about, convenience stores sell to-go alcohol and bars and the casinos are only steps away. It's quite possible to have an enjoyable – and inexpensive – Halloween in Vegas just cruising up and down the Strip.

Along the way, there is a block party outside of Margaritaville; there's a band and drink stations (starts at 6 p.m.). The Carnival Court bar at Harrah's is worth a look in the afternoon as people pre-party here in costume to club music. Later, there's a costume contest ($10 cover).
