Local Weather Girls Heat Up L.A. Newscasts
Jackie Johnson Leads List of Forecasting Foxes
Jackie Johnson is PubClub.com's Hottest Weathergirl in L.A.
By LA Local The Bar Blogger
Even when the weather is not warm in Los Angeles, the weather girls on the local TV stations are hot.
They are the babes of the broadcasts, the foxy forecasters who keep viewers' (mainly male ones, anyway) temperatures rising in spring, summer, winter and fall.
They are, in short, LA's Sexiest Weather girls.
These are ladies who, when they stand in front of moving fronts, maps and seven-day forecasts, make male viewers focus on the girls' moving fronts (and sides). These lovely ladies deliver the weather with at least as much style as substance.
To their credit, they do not flaunt their beauty, nor do they dress provocatively.
Yet with these gals, there's a warm front moving into LA households every single day.
#1.) JACKIE JOHNSON, KCBS TV-2
The forecast is always hot when Jackie Johnson delivers the weather.
Who's looking at the weather map when Jackie Johnson is on the screen!?
She's sexy, borders on stunning and moves around the screen better than a warm front.
Jackie Johnson turned heads from the moment she arrived at KCAL in 2004. And she continues to do so now that she's moved onto the sister station, KCBS.
Always attractive, Jackie has raised the beauty bar to LA's highest level by getting into tip-top shape, which makes her stunning profile even more seductive, particularly when she wears sweaters and skirts. Yet at the same time she comes across as wholesome as Betty White while also seeming to be as at ease with the guys as the neighborhood tomboy.
She manages to pull off being sultry and classy at the same time, the perfect combination of sex appeal and simple stature.
Jackie found this article and sent a "gee thanks" Tweet to PubClub: @BarBlogger.
It's always sunny on KCBS when Jackie Johnson gives the weather.
She's more beautiful than the Santa Monica Pier in the background.
Right now – and anytime – Jackie Johnson is LA's Hottest Weather Girl.
She's also informative. Originally from Michigan, she went to school at South Alabama in Mobile and came to KCAL from Miami (where she obviously worked on her tan). She has a degree in broadcast journalism from Middle Tennessee State.
#2.) EVELYN TAFT, KCAL TV-9
Evelyn Taft challenges Jackie Johnson for LA's Hottest Weather Girl.
The sister station of KCBS – which once featured Jackie Johnson – has done it again. When Jackie moved to KCBS, KCAL brought in Taft. This weather girl is hotter than the Santa Ana wind conditions, a blonde beauty with eyes as blue the Pacific and as seductive as sunsets in Manhattan Beach.
Like Jackie, she's a blonde bombshell with a thin profile. She looks like she should be on a magazine cover or in a calendar rather than telling Angelenos that today is sunny, tomorrow is sunny and the next five days will be sunny, as well.
It's always sunny on KCAL TV-9 when Evelyn Taft gives the forecast.
The 5-day forecast on KCAL is five days of the beautiful Evelyn Taft!
No matter the weather Evenly Taft shines like the sun in L.A.
Evelyn Taft has model good looks and LA TV viewers can see her every night.
Her frequent smiles are almost like winks and when TVs in bars are on KCAL after a Dodgers game, guys stop conversations cold – and don't even touch their cold Budweisers – to watch her weather reports. And she is, according to one KCAL staffer, "hallway nice." He added, "she always says 'hi' to everyone at the station. She's a really nice person."
Evelyn came to KCAL from KRON in San Francisco. All PubClub.com can say is this: The Bay Area's loss is certainly the Southland's gain!
3.) BRI WINKLER, KABC
KABC's Bri Winkler makes waking up on Sunday mornings worth the effort.
She's worth waking up for on Sunday mornings.
It's definitely a good morning when Bri wakes up viewers on Sunday mornings.
This blonde beauty brings some spice to KABC, which previously in the weather department gave us the charismatic Dallas Raines and the friendly Garth Kemp, fine gentlemen to be sure but hardly lookers.
Bri brings the beauty to Channel 7's weekend morning news.
4.) MARIA QUIBAN, FOX 11
Maria delivers the weather in style on the Fox 11 Morning News.
Fox's Good Day L.A., is good indeed with Maria giving the weather reports.
Maria's a heck of a gal. She's got a terrific personality, loves all things Hawaiian (she's always greeting her friends with "aloha") and is as beautiful as sunset on Waikiki Beach.
She can be seen more on Good Day L.A., carrying over to the half-hour news at 10 a.m.. In addition to weathe she does a cool feature "Maria Surfs The Web."
Time for Maria to surf this PubClub.com article!
#5.) ERICKA PINO, KVEA TV-52 (TELEMUNDO).
A sexy Hispanic, Ericka heats up the weather report on TV-52.
She is Hispanic and as hot as a summer day in Mexico City.
Ericka has beautiful dark hair, a living room-friendly smile and a figure that's more shapely than a tropical storm.
She actually replaces what would have been PubClub's #1 hot weather girl, Toni Romero. Unfortunately – very unfortunately for viewers – Toni was part of layoffs at LA's Telemundo affiliate.
6.) VERA JIMINEZ, KTLA
KTLA's Vera Jiminez is even better looking in person than she is on TV.
She's as nice as she is nice looking.
Vera is fun – PubClub has seen her at volleyball tournaments in the South Bay Beach Cities – and also quite hot.
Vera Jimimez delivers the weather in style for KTLA.
That smile isn't fake; Vera is a very friendly girl.
She actually looks better in person than she does on TV, and she looks good on TV! On the tube, she appears to be tall and strong; in reality she's short and gentle. If you are fortunate enough to see her in public, you just want to give her a hug.
Vera is on the KTLA evening news Monday-Friday at 10 p.m.
A BLAST FROM THE PAST (WHO'S STILL HERE)
Had this article been written a few years ago, then Jillian Barberie Reynolds of Fox 11's Good Day L.A., would have been the runaway winner. But it didn't. She's now a mom (again), and while that hardly excludes anyone from this list, let's just say that she's had her days in the sun.
