The parties bring out groups of crazy costumes – and people.

The 2007 celebration proved to be wild, wonderful and creative.

It's a goulish thought, to dress up as a bleeding ax murderer, a spooky horror movie star, a political figure, cartoon character, military commando or even a sexy cop.

But that's what Halloween parties are all about for adults. Halloween 2011 is on a Monday, so many of the costume parties are taking place on Friday and Saturday.

For children, Halloween involves dressing up in whatever costume they can convince mom to buy and collecting more candy than the other kdis on the block. And not geting a bag of rocks.

Once college enters the picture, and before kids of their own start to appear, people's consumption switches to alcohol, theme parties and finding romance.

For Halloween parties, there are huge ones in rented buildings, nightclubs, hotel ballrooms, and sex-inspired events in Las Vegas and San Francisco. Houses by the tens of thousands have smaller – but sometimes no less entertaining – gatherings for friends and friends of friends.

– Halloween Party Hosting Tips –

Wanting to host or get your act together for a Halloween party? Here are some PubClub Halloween Party Tips.
• Be creative. For hosts, decorate the venue with traditional aspects as skeletons and cobwebs but also try different things such as neon-colored lights and creatures. For costumes, see what's hot in the news or in culture and dress accordingly. Or simply be fun – one of PubClub's all-time favorites is a group of guys who donned bunny costumes with signs on their back saying, "We've Been Bar Hoppin."

• Keep the Cocktails Flowing. Sounds simple enough, but for hosts have more than one bar area and don't place kegs too close to the mixed area to alievate congestion. Yes, everyone winds up in the kitchen anyway. For party attendees going to house parties, come in with some of your own and keep a little extra for when it runs low.

• Music. In addition to part and dance tunes, mix in some Halloween-friendly music. The Rocky Horror Picture Show, the Munster's theme song and Monster Mash are all good choices.

• Plenty of ice!

Adults love Halloween as much as kids. Or even more

That's because our candy is often eye candy. And sometimes you get to have your cake eat it, too, so to speak.

What's amazing about adult Halloween parties is that eventually, couples are making out all over the place by the end of the night. On the dance floor, in hallways, balconies, the parking lot. Often, several couples are lined up adjacent to one another, each oblivious to what's happening around them. It's because people are dressed up and let their inhibitions go for an evening, often like they do on vacation because nobody knows them. They can hide their real personality behind a mask.

Arrrggg – It's a Halloween party!
