PUBCLUB SKI TRIP 2001
Mammoth Mountain, California
February 2001

PubClubbers celebrate an awesome snow day at the slope-side bar.

The PubClub Ski Bunnies enjoyed their time on the mountain.

Wild and crazy, the Yodler was full of fun people all weekend.

Is this the Greek Islands, or is it the Yodler?

NOTES FROM THE BARTENDER:

They told us it was the wildest the place had ever been.

"I've worked here three years and have never seen it like this," our waitress reported.

Well, what did they expect? It was the PubClub Ski Trip 2001!

During President's Day weekend, we invaded Mammoth Mountain in California's Sierra Nevada mountain range for three days of skiing, snow boarding and revelry.

I'm happy to report we acheived all three of our objectives.

Inspired by awesome, fresh snow, we spent hours on the mountain blasting through Mammoth's many runs (the mountain certainly lives up to name).

Then we celebrated at one of the world's best post-lift bars, the Yodler. Located at the base of the mountain, you can almost ski through the door. By 4 o'clock, the place is always rocking. On this holiday weekend, it was out of control.

The right combintation of powder, people and potent cocktails exploded. The place transformed from a fun ski bar into into a Greek Islands club, complete with patrons dancing on tables and stripping off their clothes.

It got so out of hand that the manager cut off half the bar. (But not The Bartender.)

Things calmed down a bit by the time we reached Whiskey Creek, Mammoth's top nighttime dance club.

But only by a little bit.
