Newport Beach Boat Tie-up Party 2008!
Boats, Bands and Babes in Newport Harbor

The annual boat tie-up is an annual OC scuccess.

On a gorgeous summer day, in the Newport channel, Newport Beach's finest yachtmen channeled their energy into the 2008 version of the Boat Tie-up Party.

Babes dancing on a boat – what could be better on a sunny Saturday!?

The annual event, organized by Mr. OC, Al Freeman, involved more than 20 boats and yachts tied together for several afternoon hours on an eventful July 26 (which happened to be the birthday of this website's creator, a nice present if ever there was one). A cool DJ played at one end with a rock 'n roll band perched high on a deck at the other, providing endless tunes.

The host, Mr. OC, stands out in his yellow tee.

Captains stocked their vessels not only with libations but lovely ladies, as boastful bikinis could be seen from, ahem, top to bottom.

Some scallywags dressed in pirate outfits tried to take part of this bountiful booty, but settled instead for circulating around the action in their dingy.

The swim decks were full the entire length of the tie-up.

Thanks to Greg Ippiolito of MountainYahoos.com for many of these photos and use of his camera, as PubClub's photo departement was hit with technical difficulties.

For more photos and information, check out Mr. OC's website.

What's a boat tie-up party without fun and pretty girls!?

The band's rock 'n roll rocked the crowd.

Greg of MountainYahoos.com proves he's home on the water, too.
