Travel & Adventure Of Wineries
Wine Tasting Part of 2013 Show in Long Beach

California wines are among those featured at the Food & Wine Experience.
It is now travel and adventure with wines and wineries.
The 2013 Los Angeles Travel & Adventure Show, which runs from January 12-13 at the Long Beach Convention Center, is adding an enticing new element for PubClubbers: wine!
It's the VIP Food & Wine Experience and it involves a wine tasting followed by a wine and food paring.
That's right, wine tasting at a travel show. While the Travel & Adventure Show is enough to excite the party senses with representatives of fun places like Club Med, the Florida Keys, Jamaica, Maui, Mexico, Palm Springs and Tahiti standing in front of "I want to go there now" displays, there is now an event to toast potential trips to those places.
The wine tasting and pairing takes place on Saturday, January 12 from 3:45-5 p.m. A guy named James "UrWineGuy" King leads the wine tasing, with the food and wine pairing hosted by Chef Jason Collis of Limoneira Ranch.
The worldwide wineries include:
• Terroir Napa Valley, Napa Valley, California
•
Brownstone, Central Coast, California
• Montefiore, Piedmont, Italy
• Ombu, San Rafael, Argentina
• St Lucas Wines, Mendoza, Argentina
• Farina, Toro, Spain
The VIP Food & Wine Experience requires the purchase of an additional ticket for $15 in advance and $20 on site. Tickets to the show are $9 on line, or $14 for both days (plus a 75-cent service fee). Parking in the Convention Center lot is $10.
Additionally, there are culinary speakers throughout the weekend, including Chef Darrell "DAS" Smith, a contestant on The Next Food Network Star; Chef Dweh Toeque, demonstrating how to make Lobster Risotto; Chef Andy Matsud, presenting Sushi 101; and David Sloan, speaking on the history and art of the Key Lime Pie.
