Old
Town

The new Carnival terminal "anchors" the view along the water.

A statue salutes Christopher Columbus, who came to San Juan in the 1500s.

San Juan was originally an entirely walled city; evidence still exists
today.

Near the walls is an area of rustic homes not fancy but they
come with a view!

Looking down at the outdoor patio of the Sheraton's Chicago Burger.

Palm trees decorate the street by the bus and main trolley station.

The main fort used to protect the city; now it's a showcase of Old Town.

Looking out to sea
next to Castillo San Cristobal.

And now for the
new La Marina Street along the cruise ship terminals.

Combining the old and the new an ancient wall along a trolley
stop.

Fame wall in Isla Verde celebrates Puerto Rico's athletes.

On
A Sunday Afternoon

One cool place to visit on a weekend
afternoon is an area past Isla Verde. All along the coastal highway
(Boca de Cangerios Ave, Highway 187) at Carolina Beach, Los Caballos
and Aviones is a scene rarely seen by tourists.
In a scene that resembles rustic Baja, Mexico, dozens of food stands
line both sides of the strreet for several miles as locals cook
and enjoy true Puerto Rican cuisine. It's a colorful look at
the true people and culture of San Juan.\
