Other than skiing, non-pubclubbing activities at mountains are usually confined to sitting around the condo or hitting the jacuzzi.

Hiking is one activity that makes mountaineering a good year-round activity.

At least in the winter. In the summer, adventure seekers thrill at the outstanding hiking, biking, boating and lesiure activities available at the mountains. Many resorts turn their hillsides into downhill mountain biking runs, serviced by the chairlifts.

Still others, like Aspen and Park City, host festivals ranging from comedy to music.

Sometimes, great thrills can be had with a simple picnic by a moutain stream or overlooking a lake.
