Mammoth Mountain 2009-2010 Season Opens!
Events & Music Kick Off Weekend of Nov. 12-14

After opening a full month earlier than expected on Oct. 16 due to an unexpected mid-fall storm that brought several feet of snow. Mammoth Mountain is officially kicking off its 2009-2010 season on the weekend of Nov. 12-14.

It begins on Thursday (the 12th) at, appropriately enough, the Yodler bar. Just across the parking lot from Main Lodge, the Yodler will have a DJ, the MSP ski film premier of "In Deep" and food and drink specials. Free buses will run to the Village until 7:30 p.m.

On Friday, the Billabong/Transworld PRemier of "Get Real" is on a bit screen in the VIllage. There will be pre-film entertainment and giveaways. This starts at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, the Village also hosts the snowboard film premier of "Hot Laps" (7 p.m.), which was filmed entirely in Mammoth. There's a DJ and beer garden, plus giveaways. Later that night, a DJ and the band Shiny Toy Guns will be at Canyon Lodge. This is a ticketed event($15 in advance click here, $20 at the door.). Buses will run from the Village to Canyon Lodge from 9 p.m.-2 a.m.

All weekend, there is art display called "I Am Snowboarding" in the Village.

Lift ticket prices are $69 thru Nov. 25 (2-day pass $131) before rising to normal season rates of $87 ($165 2-day and $222 for 3 of 4 days).

Mammoth Mountain, a favorite ski and snowboarding spot for Southern Californians from LA to San Diego, has a Main Lodge elevation of 8,900 feet and 11,053 feet at its summit.
