But worry not, because Las Vegas veterans PubClub.com have put together this essential guide to drinking, partying and nightlife in Las Vegas.
GETTING INTO THE LAS VEGAS CLUBS
This is something everyone wants to know because the clubs are the plus of Vegas’ nightlife. The easiest way is to be a hot girl, dress in your hottest short skirt and hang around the front of the lines. A doorman may approach you and ask to hang out at a table with a bunch of guys who want pretty girls around them.
Failing this, you can arrive at the club of your choice at 10 p.m., stand in line and hope for the best.
Or you can take the VIP cards from one of those people handing them out on the streets but know this:
• People with the VIP lists work with specific clubs so if you want to go, say, Hakkasan, you need to get with someoone who has that list.
• The people with the VIP lists are fine, reputable people who are just doing their job, so there’s no need to back away from them or not trust them.
• Even tho you are on one of these VIP lists, it does not always guarantee you will get into the club. This is because several people have VIP lists with the clubs. It does, however, make it easier than trying to do it yourself.

YOU DON’T NEED TO BE IN THE CLUBS TO HAVE A CLUB EXPERIENCE
There’s a few casino bars that are like mini-nightclubs. There’s a DJ, dance music and young and fun people partying. There are no lines, no cover charges, no VIP and guests lists. Plus, they are free! The best of these is eyecandy in Mandalay Bay.
THE POOL PARTIES
If you want to party in the daytime – where the dress code is bikinis and board shorts – then the pool parties are the place to be in Vegas. The leader of the pack is still the original, Rehab at the Hard Rock, but there are other hot ones, including Encore at Wynn, Tao Beach and Marquee in the Cosmopolitan.
A less “clubby” pool party is at the Hilton Flamingo.
Of course, this is Vegas and there are even pools at some nightclubs Twist and Drai’s.
Like the clubs, there are often big lines and big cover charges to get into the pool parties. Here’s one tip: If you really want to go to a particular pool party, stay at that hotel. Your room key will get you entry.
LAS VEGAS HAPPY HOURS (AND $1 BEERS ON THE STRIP)
If you want Happy Hours in Vegas, then go downtown. Most of the screamin’ specials are at the bars on Fremont Street. However, these places are pretty empty and of course you probably don’t want to leave The Strip. So there, head to the Five O’Clock Somewhere Bar next to Margaritaville for $1 beer specials during Happy Hour!
THE WEEKEND CHAMPAGNE BRUNCHES
This is one of the best things to do in Vegas – hit the buffets in the morning (relatively speaking, just try and be there by noon) – and drink champagne or mimosas for two hours while stuffing yourself.
Every hotel has a brunch and the prices are in the $50 range so it doesn’t really matter which one you choose (tho the one at Paris, which is the smallest, is highly recommended).
DRINKING ON THE STRIP
In Vegas, you can take your drinks to go and drink on The Strip. This means you can make drinks in your room or take a few beers with you as you walk up and down The Strip and even into the casinos. Don’t be a fool, tho, and take those drinks into a bar.
WHERE TO FIND CHEAP(ER) DRINKS TO GO ON THE STRIP
Instead of going to the bars to get a drink to go, get beer and liquor (and mixes) from a convenience store. There are several along The Strip and a little-known fact is that casinos also have beer and liquor stores that sell booze way cheaper than in the bars. They even sell individual beers.
PubClub’s favorite of these is in the Flamingo Hilton next to the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar and Margaritaville.
