How To Deal With 4th Of July Party Crashers

Drinks For Invited Guests Only When Hosting House Parties

House parties are a huge part of the celebrations on the 4th of July.

It’s as inevitable as fireworks and as unavoidable as someone spilling a drink.

You’re going to have people crashing your party on the 4th of July.

But how to deal with it? After all, you really only want invited guests and their friends (and for singles hosting parties, cute single people) but there will be people throughout the day whom you don’t want there, were not invited and who make the other guests comfortable.

Often these are demanding people, they are rude and a disruption.

But there are ways to deal with them and even force them to leave without being really forceful. Because the last thing you want is a confrontation. Just follow these tips from PubClub.com and all will be fine.

Tips On Getting Rid Of Party Crashers

• Confront Them In A Friendly Manner. Ask the person (or people) in question whom they know at the party. Crashers will make up names or say something really fast but make them point out a person. When they can’t, say “well this is a private party and we have to ask you to leave please.” Then turn around and walk away from them. The reason walk away is to break off the conversation; don’t give them an opportunity to argue with you.

• Don’t Get Confrontational. Keep it friendly; a lot of times party crashers will create controversy in an effort to make the hosts back down, to intimidate them. Don’t play this game – smile and keep it friendly. And don’t have long conversations with them, as stated in the previous tip.

• Ignore The Party Crasher. Don’t engage the crasher(s) in conversation and also go to all your other guests and tell them to do the same. If nobody is talking to the crasher(s) and they are being ignored, they will not hang around for long.

It’s best to ignore party crashers; this one is a regular in Hermosa Beach, CA.

• Don’t Give Them Drinks! This is the biggest tip. The best way to get someone to leave is not to serve them any drinks. Make sure they do not get any – on their own, from you or from another guest. Soon enough, they will move on to bother another party. A party crasher is like one of those sharks on Shark Week – they will hang around only if there’s a good “food” supply, and in this case that food supply is alcohol. Cut off that food (alcohol) supply and they will go elsewhere to “feed.”

• If They Are Like Flies At A Picnic, Involve Others. Some people will hover hoping to latch onto something; they are like flies at a picnic. Whenever you shoo them away, they keep coming back, but you can solve this by having several people tell them to leave. If it’s a guy, then have several girls say this; girls at a party telling a guy to go is as effective as cutting off his “food” supply.

• If All Else Fails, Call In A Large Friend. It’s always a good idea to invite a very large guy to your party to ask as a kind of bouncer. Not a rude, unfriendly person, mind you, but someone who is, say, 6-foot-7 and 250 pounds. If the crasher (or crashers) continue to hang around, call in your very large friend to kindly but pointedly, ask them to leave.
