Travel Schedule For 7 Days (Or More!) In Bahia, Florianópolis, Jurerê Salvador, Jericoacoara & Morro de São Paulo
In fact, there’s an entire country to explore and here’s a day-by-day itinerary for a week in the “real” Brazil, destinations away from the beaten tourist path that are also some very beautiful places.
Of course, the schedule allows for a little more time than just seven days because you could wind up sticking your toes into the sand and not being able to remove them for a while.
Day 1 In Brazil
The first stop of this trip should be Florianópolis, capital of the State of Santa Catarina (South of Brazil). “Floripa”, as the locals call it, is a beautiful island, which offers great beaches and several cool attractions.
Days 2 & 3 In Brazil
After spending a day in Floripa, you should go to Jurerê, which is just 45 minutes away.
Jurerê has become a beacon for models, celebrities and people in search of a sophisticated beach experience in Brazil. The calm, crystal clear waters are perfect for relaxing with a glass of champagne by the white sands.
But there is more than beach fun there; the place offers many shopping options, as well as great food and typical Brazil nightlife, a combination of beach bars, pool parties and dance-crazy nightclubs.
Jurerê could be called the “Beverly Hills” of Brazil. It’s a very exclusive place, where the luxurious houses, boats and cars give the tone. But it’s much more than that. Jurerê is an invitation to celebrating life.
Frankly, PubClub.com could wind up spending pretty much the entire week here. But there’s more to see, of course!
Day 4 In Brazil
After spending a couple of days in Santa Catarina, board a plane and go to Bahia on the other side of the country (in the Northeast region).
Bahia is the birthplace of the African-Brazilian heritage, a place filled with magic, charming people and marvelous cuisine. Just like Florianópolis, Salvador (state capital) is a metropolis, which offers many options in terms of attractions, shopping and a good beach.
Days 5 & 6 In Brazil
Many gems here are located outside the city, and start at Morro de São Paulo.
“Morro”, as the locals call it, is a cozy Riviera just an hour away (by boat) from Salvador. The clear green waters, the white sand and many charming “pousadas” (inns) operated by Italian, French and German owners (former tourists who never managed to return home), give the destination an air of international sophistication. It’s a place where you walk a few steps from your room right into the beach, to enjoy some cocktails or maybe a fantastic lobster dish.
Morro still keeps a rustic charm to it, though, with 4×4 vehicles going back and forth taking visitors to different places and activities. It’s an ideal destination to spend 48 hours. In case you are still itching for more Brazilian beach fun, the State of Ceará (just an hour away from Bahia) offers a whole new world of possibilities.
Day 7 In Brazil (And Maybe Days, 8, 9, 10…)
After arriving in Fortaleza (the state capital) head straight to Jericoacoara, which is a very rustic, almost untouched paradise. A small fishing village, it’s a mecca of for windsurfers and kitesurfers. Or you can just relax in a hammock that’s actually in the water.
It’s hard not to fall in love with “Jeri”, as the locals call it.
Once you reach the place and see the beautiful, calm, ocean where people are laying over hammocks practically inside the waters, the only concern should be to relax. Located just a few hours from Fortaleza (the capital city), Jeri is a place to be, at least once in your life.
Although the trip might be a little long, it will be well worth the extra time spent here.
