Sensei Serenity Gives The Celebrated Liquor A LatAsian Twist
It has created a special cocktail for the occasion called the Sensei Serenity.
The brainchild of DÔA’s mixologist Josue “Josh” Gonzalez, it gives tequila a LatAsian twist. The refreshing cocktail combines Casa Noble tequila, cucumber juice, honeydew melon, lime juice and shiso leaves for an enlightening drinking experience.
National Tequila Day is Monday, July 24.
Here’s the ingredients and recipe for the Sensei Serenity if you want to make it at home. Better yet, let Gonzalez or one of the bartenders at DÔA make it for you on Collins Ave.
Ingredients:
• 1.5 oz Casa Noble tequila
• 5 oz FOS Mastiha
• 1 oz Cucumber juice & Honeydew melon
• 5 oz lime juice
• 3 shiso leaves
Recipe:
Combine all ingredients in a shaker, add ice and shake vigorously, Strain over fresh ice into a Rocks glass. Garnish with a cucumber slice.
