These Boat Drinks Will Take You Sailing To The Caribbean
Get by a boat – or, if you’ve got access to one, get on a boat – and turn on the Eric Stone or Jimmy Buffett music.
It’s time for some rum drinks.
Using the excellent, high-quality Ron Barcelo rums of the Dominican Republic, here are recipes for three creative drinks that will cool the soul as well as put you in that by-the-water, laid-back beach mental mode.
Chin Chin
This drink uses Barceló Añejo, lime juice, simple syrup and mint to beat the heat with a breezy zing. Of course, if you have a few of these, be careful because when you stand up, you may take it on the chin, chin.
Recipe:
• 2 oz Barceló Añejo
• 3/4 lime juice
• 1 simple syrup
• (Micro mint shaken)
Instructions
Add all ingredients in shaker and shake vigorously. Pour over crushed ice. Garnish with a fresh mint sprig. Serve in a Collins glass and garnish with fresh mint sprig.
Lulove
The summer-inspired cocktail infuses Barceló Gran Platinum with lulo syrup and lime juice on the rocks
Recipe:
• 1 1/5 Barceló Gran Platinum
• 3/4 lime juice
• 1.5 Oz lulo syrup
Instructions
Shake vigorously and strain over crushed ice. Garnish with a small flower Petal
Skinny Beach
The drink uses Barceló Imperial, lime juice and demarara syrup. Add a lime wheel and a marigold flower for a colorful and refreshing finish.
Recipe:
• 1 1/5 oz Barceló Imperial
• 1 oz Lime Juice
• 3/4 demarara syrup
Instructions
Mix all ingredients in shaker on the rocks. Shake vigorously. Strain in a couple glass without ice. Garnish with lime wheel and marigold flower. Serve in a Coupe glass and garnish with a lime wheel & marigold flower
