A Hollywood Ending For Fans In La La Land
L.A.’s the place for Super Bowl LIII.
One of them, anyway.
With the Rams kicking their way into the Super Bowl with a Hollywood-type ending to beat the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship game – it was on a 57-yard field goal in a game the team never led until the ball soared through the uprights – the City of Angeles has become La La Land for pro football.
After decades of not even having an NFL team, Los Angeles has a team in the Super Bowl. The last time the L.A. Rams were in the Super Bowl was 1079 when vince ferragamo was quarterback. They put up a good fight before falling to the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-19.
And now Los Angeles is ready to roll out the red carpet for the Rams and Super Bowl parties. It starts with the annual tradition that is the Super Bowl 10K in Redondo Beach, in which some 8,000 people go 3.1 or 6.2 miles, many of whom are in costume, and then go wild in a beer garden.
From there, bars all over the city will be having Super Bowl watch parties and house parties will fill up with newfound Rams fans.
One of the “official” Rams bars is OB’s in Manhattan Beach. The Rams cheerleaders were there for the Saints game. But this is a tiny place so if you want to go, get there at least two hours before the game. If you’re late, then simply go next door to Sharkeez.
Or go to the Hermosa Beach Pier where another Sharkeez, Tower 12, American Junkie, Patrick Molloys and other bars will be among the biggest party bars in Los Angeles.
LA fans can be fickle and with so much to do here, they will only support a winner. Yet with the Rams in the Super Bowl, the city will be partying throughout the city.
