Across the year there are always must-see sporting events, but it’s perhaps the end of the year when we see a real rush of events.
Whether it’s the end of a season, tournament or just a festive feast of action, there’s always something major to enjoy, no matter what the sport.
2019 is no different. It’s a big time for betting, watching and playing, so no matter what your reasoning, here are the biggest events to enjoy over the next couple of moments…
Rugby World Cup Final
The Rugby World Cup is well underway and it’s already proven incredibly exciting.
According the Sports Interaction, New Zealand are the big favourites with William Hill at 11/10 after a flawless start to the tournament, while the likes of England, Wales and Ireland also have an excellent chance.
The tournament is taking place in Japan, with the Final getting underway on November 2 at the famous Yokohama Stadium. It’ll be a huge day as the first Rugby World Cup in Asia comes to a close.
Track Cycling World Cup
Perhaps lesser known is the Track Cycling World Cup, which takes place in November in Glasgow.
It welcomes the biggest names as they compete as countries and teams to bring home the gold.
This year it will be one-to-watch as many stars will be working hard towards the Olympic Games in Tokyo next year.
Team GB and the Australians will be ones to watch and it’ll be a good indicator of where to put your money next year too. That’s on top of getting to watch world-class sport in front of an electric Scottish crowd, of course.
AbuDhabi Grand Prix
The Formula 1 season is starting to wind down now with only a handful of races left. It’s still all to play for though, with Lewis Hamilton looking set to continue his dominance with a third successive Driver’s Championship.
He’s huge favourite at 9/2 to do so with the bookmakers, so if you want to see him lift the trophy, it might be time to start booking flights to the UAE.
Abu Dhabi draws a close on the season and continues to be one of the most popular circuits for fans to visit, not least for the glitz and glamour.
Thanksgiving Football
There are few bigger traditions in sport than football on Thanksgiving.
It’s been played on Thanksgiving Day since the NFL’s inception and this year will see the Lions take on the Bears and Cowboys versus the Buffalo Bills.
In terms of tradition, it’s up there with the Super Bowl, particularly for Lions and Cowboys fans who have always hosted on that day.
