The Top Five Players In The Bundesliga

May 28, 2020 by kevinwilkerson Leave a Comment

The thing about sports that a lot of people don’t necessarily think about is that anybody can be good at it. It doesn’t matter if you were born in an orphanage or in a mansion, class and race and wealth have no bearing on physical talent.

So it is definitely pretty inspiring to take a look at some of the top players in the Bundesliga. These are some of the very best athletes that have taken to German soccer, and the impact that they’ve had on the sport as a whole will stand the test of time. Here are the top five players for you to learn more about.

England’s Premier League is following in the boot steps of Germany’s Bundesliga and restarting their season. Sports books are already accepting bets on the games which kick off on June 17.

Gerd Müller

We can’t talk about professional Bundesliga players without covering perhaps the most influential figure in the sport. Gerd Müller was one of the best players to ever pick up the ball, and his record for the number of goals scored during the career remains unbeaten to this very day.

He played for Bayern Munich, who are basically like the gold standard for Bundesliga teams. They come in and they compete, and every time they seem to take home the championship title, having been champions more than any other team on record. This man is basically the best of the best, and while there are others who are of comparable talent, his skills set him apart from the rest of the competition.

Klaus Fischer

Klaus Fischer is perhaps one of the best players in the game, and is probably the only real competitor to Gerd. First of all, he managed to hang onto his career for 19 years, which is pretty impressive considering the average length that a football or soccer player spends in the role. But his number of goals is equally impressive, and remains the closest attempt at the current record.

Perhaps what really sets him apart from some of the others on this list is that he is one of only 11 players to be featured more than 500 times in the league during his career. It’s very impressive, and a testament to his skill.

Jupp Heynckes

So, what’s to say about Jupp Heynckes? Well, he began life as a player. He was a very competitive and very powerful player on the pitch, scoring many goals and establishing a name for himself. But eventually, he decided that the physical side of things wasn’t necessarily for him, so he became a coach, and actually led Bayern Munich to victory in 2013.

A lot of players will eventually retire and become a coach because they don’t have the physical capacity left to keep playing, but still have a love for the game and plenty to teach new players. But there are a few who had as big an impact on the entire game as this man.

Manfred Burgsmüller

The next legend on the list is something of an unspoken hero, but one who deserves to be recognised for his achievements. He was a grand part of the whole experience which is German soccer.

For 30 years, this man held a position within the top five players of the world, and it was something he did with pride. His position was only recently challenged by another following his passing at 69. Manfred Burgsmüller may not have been the star-studded performer that some of the others were, but he left his mark regardless.

Claudio Pizarro

The last person on the list isn’t someone who is a powerhouse like the others, but he is definitely a fan favourite for the list. His name is Claudio Pizarro, and he’s managed to rack up quite a powerful set of options.

His career has been going on for more than 20 years now. For a soccer player, and an athlete, that is a pretty good stint. One of his crowning achievements is managing to score a goal every year since 1999. As you can imagine, this has made him a firm favourite in the eyes of many people.

As perhaps further evidence of his prowess, he even managed to get a stint at Bayern Munich. As many will tell you, this is the holy grail of Bundesliga clubs. It is proof that he has earned his right to stand with the giants. There are many reasons why he is such an influential player. Perhaps it is his ability to score goals every year without fail. Alternatively, it is the fact that this man simply refuses to quit and hang up his boots. Whatever the reason, he’s one of the best players around the game.

So, to summarise, these are the five best players in the hallowed halls of the Bundesliga. These players all came from different worlds, but found themselves immortalised as being the best of the best in their generation. There are many things which made them fan favourites. Whether it was their technical skill, commitment to the game, or overall demeanour, these are all popular players. They represent everything which the game has become known for, and it is because of this talent that Bundesliga has thrived. It is easy to see why people love them. As people, and players, and even more so as athletes, they have set a standard. They created an idea of what the game should be known for, and they did it with style and grace.
