South Bay Events Scheduled To Return To The Beach This Summer
Smackfest Events has released dates for its 2024 events and it includes the signature Smackfest beach volleyball tournament, one of the signature and all-time iconic happenings in the South Bay.
Below are the scheduled dates of not just Smackfest but other events for 2024:
• Sat. 4/13 –Spring Classic, Seaside Lagoon, Redondo Beach
• Sat. 6/29 – 29th Annual Smackfest, Hermsa Beach Pier
• Sat 10/12 – Smacktoberfest Volleyball + Beer/Wine Event, Seaside Lagoon, Redondo Beach
The beach volleyball events are for teams of all levels. Play is divided into pools pairing beginning, intermediate and experts. Costumes and “themed teams” are part of the deal for Smackfest while Smacktoberfest is optional.
The latter combines beach volleyball with a beer and wine festival featuring live music in an Oktoberfest type of atmosphere. The volleyball and festival are really two separate events taking place in the same place. So you don’t have to play in the tournament to partake in the drinking and fun of the festival.
According to an e-mails sent out to subscribers, “2024 will be a HUGE year.” No doubt!
