We’re into November and here’s what we know about college football 2023.

USC is the most exciting team in college football regardless of the outcome, Michigan still hasn’t played anybody yet is apparently taking no chances, Georgia is shedding meodicre opponents like its tight ends do tacklers, Washington is more like a cat with nine lives than a dog, Florida State is winning but nobody notices because of the conference it plays in, Clemson is losing in the same conference yet people are notcing and ‘ol Jimbo’s new goal is to make a bowl game. One can say that when he has a $70 million contract buyout.

Now onto the games. All times Pacific because The Prognosticator lives on the West Coast.

Ohio State at Rutgers (9 a.m., CBS)

“What are Rutgers?” Those were the most famous three words ever written by a sports columnist in Tennessee, who found out when the Sir Henrys beat the Volunteers back in 1979. The Nuts won’t be asking that same question tho the one-time Queensmen defensmen may be telling each other “I thought you had him” when attempting to cover Marvin Harrison, Jr. Winner: Ohio State

Army at Air Force (11 a.m, CBS Sports Network)

The high-flying Falcons are a quiet 8-0 – that’s right, they are undefeated – and have already sunk one service academy. Now they are ready to unleash their attack on the ground forces to claim the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy. Against the 2-6 Knights, it is likey to be a one-sided fight. Winner: Air Force

Missouri at Georgia (12:30 p.m., CBS)

In an effort to build up a game that isn’t worthy of it, the SEC Network is acting as if the Truman Tigers – that “are they really in the SEC” school? – are a formidable opponent for a team that gets the most angry when those outside the program spectulate that Kirby Canines’ bark is far worse than its bite. Oh sure, the Dawgs occasionally wander off in the yard but when they are called, they come ‘a runnin’ at full speed. Winner: Georgia

Oklahoma at Oklahoma State (12:30 p.m., ABC)

The Boomers went boom last week and now face a raucous crowd at Boone Pickens in what may be the last Bedlam game. The Pokes are as fired up for this one as a cowboy facing rustlers and  Pistol Pete will be as angry as Yosemite Sam, out to get those varmints from Norman. By the time the Schooners know what hit them, it will be too late.Winner: Oklahoma State

Cal at Oregon (2: 30 p.m., Pac-12)

The Papa Bears roared out of their den last week to nearly upset USC. Will they be in a fowl mood agaist the Water Birds? They had better get their ducks in a row or else they will be swept up like a windsurfer at the Columbia River Gorge. The Waddlers seem to have shaken off their earlier loss to Washington won’t let the visitors from California upset thier conference title game quest. Winner: Oregon

Washington at USC (4:30 p.m, ABC)

In what might well be the most exciting game of the year in college football, the Dawgs are looking to have their day under the lights at the Coliseum. And as if the Penix point producers are not effective enough on their own, they get to play against the cover-your-eyes-and-not-the-receivers defense of Troy. Oklahoma West is bringing dormant offenses to life so imagine what will happen when facing one that is already good. Yet no matter how much of a breeze it may seem to be for the Sailgaters, Caleb will be going crazy for the Ancient Warriors, too. This is the Los Angeles NASCAR race on the football field. Winner: Washington

LSU at Alabama (4:45 p.m., CBS)

The Pachyderms are stomping again and standing in thier path to the SEC Championshp are a bunch of riled-up Tigers who pack a powerful punch. The Felines bring with them an offense that can seemingly score at will, albeit it with a defense that brings to mind the one at USC. The latter will set up Jalen II for some juicy long-ball chances while the former will keep the scoreboard operator on high alert. In the end, a Crimson crush from the pass rush will have the Tigers chasing their tails in this T-Town Tilt. Winner: Alabama

UCLA at Arizona (7:30 p.m., FS1)

The Trampolines were bouncing high and often against the Neons, but expect them to fall back down this week against the suddenly “hey we’re not so bad after all” desert Cats. Shaking off the embrassment of losing to Mississipp State, the Zonies have won two in a row and should have knocked off both U-Dub and USC. Winner: Arizona
