From Friends to Seinfield, to Sex in the City, When Harry Met Sally, The Sopranos, Ghostbusters and, well, we could go on and on, the point being there are many places in New York City that have been featured in popular films and TV shows.
And you can go visit them without having one of those “maps of the stars homes” that were once so prevelant in L.A.
That is because On Location Tours offers tours of those famous places, plus a lot more. Tours are two to three-plus hours and are both walking and transportation tours. Prices vary by tour but for example, the complete NYC TV & Movie Tour, which includes locations from Friends, Seinfield, When Harry Met Sally and more, is $61.
That tour is on a guided sightseeing bus with more than 60 locations, one being the ‘Original Soupman’ in Seinfeld and another the apartment in Friends.
But it’s just not for fairly modern show buffs. Nostolgic TV and movie fans will love the “old school” locations featured in the newyweds comedy Barefoot in the Park film that starred Robert Redford and Jane Fonda, The Odd Couple TV show and the Jack Lemon classic movie The Out Of Towners. Pretty much every movie or TV show based or filmed in New York City is part of one of the tours.
