Beeside Balcony, LaJolla
Located on Prospect Street in LaJolla Village, this intimate restaurant has three course prix-fixe menu at its Honey Pot Lounge. There are setings at 6 and 8 p.m., with the first course consisting of the option of Artichoke Hummus, Caesar Salad, Arugula and Beet Salad, Meatballs, or Octopus Ceviche. The second course offers the option of Fjord Salmon Tofu Quinoa, Bolognese Pasta, Roasted Chicken, Denver Steak, or Pork Osso Bucco. For dessert, there is the choice of Churros, Creme Brulee, or a Lemon Tart. Each couple will also get a rose and a 1.5oz jar of honey harvested from Chef Christophe’s own local honey bee farm. Entertaiment is from DJ Ole’ Dom.The dinner is priced at $65 per person and it runs through Feb. 18 for those not able to make it on the 14th with the exception of Feb. 15 due to a private event. This Asian and sushi restaurant in Del Mar’s Sky Deck has a prix-fixe dinner specially curated and presented by Executive Chef and Owner Ethan Yang. It begins with the “Amuse-Bouche,” a French term translating to “it amuses the mouth,” featuring a Truffle King Crab Roll crowned with Caviar. During the second course, guests will have the option to choose from freshly shucked Oysters, Strawberry and Avocado Salad, or Wagyu Tataki. The third course will include either Burrata with Tomatoes, Lobster Miso Soup, or Asian-Style Cold Gazpacho which is a refreshing soup with Asian flavors. The fourth and main course is a choice of Cherry Blossom-Infused Duck Breast with Plum Sauce, Wagyu Beef with Pomegranate Reduction, Pan-Seared Scallops, or Truffle and Shiitake Mushroom Risotto. Dessert is a choice between Dark Chocolate Matcha Cake and Asian-Style Crepe Cake. • URBANA Mexican Gastronomy and Mixology
Located in Del Mar’s Sky Deck, it features a three- course prix-fixe dinner. . The first course includes either the Tijuana Caesar Salad or Shrimp Ceviche made with pico de gallo, cucumber, avocado, and micro cilantro in a sweet and spicy broth. The first option for the main course is a Surf + Turf consisting of arrachera skirt steak, 1/2 lobster tail, papa puree, chef’s steak sauce and chili oil. The second option in the main course is Butter Fish ‘A La Diabla made with citrus cucumber salad and a spicy aioli sauce. And if you have a big sweet tooth, you’re going to want to try the Chef’s Bread Pudding made with crispy bacon, vanilla ice cream, and edible flowers, or the Flan made with milky caramel custard and served with fresh berries. The price is $50 with the option to add a bottle of G.H. Mumm Champagne for $40.
• Monarch Ocean Pub, a beach-inspired restaurant in Del Mar, will be featuring a “Bottle & Board” special for the holiday. It will be a version of its classic Nosh Board – a chef’s selection of artisan cheeses & cured meats, pickles, nuts and fruit wiht ab herb toasted baguette – paired with a bottle of wine. The price is $55.
This French restaurant on the 4000 block of Adams Ave., is having a special Valentine’s Day dinner from 4-8 p.m. It starts with a choice of appetizer with selections including wild mushroom soup with parmesan and fresh herb croustade; crab croquettes with jicama remoulade; salmon tartare; and more. Entrée selections include Faroe Island salmon with roasted Japanese potatoes, butternut squash, cauliflower and sorrel beurre blanc; petit filet mignon with roasted garlic mashed potatoes; Shiitake and oyster mushroom raviolis with white wine cream sauce; and others. Dessert is a choice of crème brûlée, flourless chocolate cake, warm brioche bread pudding and more. Price: $95 per person.
It will also have a featured cocktail, the Ma Cherie, made with cherry-infused brandy, bourbon and port wine, topped with vanilla cream. Price: $18.

San Diego Valentine’s Day Cocktail
• The Local Pacific Beach is featuring the Pretty in Pink cocktail, a fun pink drink on their menu. Reminiscent of pink sand beaches, it is made with Ilegal Reposado Mezcal, Aperol, lime juice, agave and coconut cream. The price is $14.
San Diego Valentine’s Day Bars & Nightlife
Valentine’s Day is one of the biggest singles nights of the year and San Diego is full of lively bars and nightlife.
• Prohibition, San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter speakeasy, will help singles celebrate breakups and romantic freedom with craft cocktails and live music. It is giving away a shot of whiskey to numb the pain of an ended relationshiop. Just show that you have blocked your ex on social media or bring in a photo of the ex-lover to shred. Amanda Portela Jazz Jam will provide live music beginning at 8 p.m.
