
Rusticucina, a Silician restaurant in San Diego’s North Park, is offering Happy Hours duiring the week, including on weekends. The latter is certainly a rare treat for San Siegoans at any restaurant.
The Happy Hour goes from 4-5 Sundays thru Thursdays and 3-5 Fridays and Saturdays on the front patio and in the bar area. That means that on weekends its 3-5 on Saturdays and 4-5 on Sundays.
The drink specials are $4 house red and white wines; $5 beer well drinks, red and white sangria and $6 specialty cocktails. Food is $5-10 for menu items thawt include calamari, crispy burrata, truffle fries. There is also a “build your own” pasta menu, now at 50% off the regular price.
Named to reflect the merging of two cultures, American and Sicilian, Rusticucina is run by Nino Cusimano, Marco Provino and Mario Liga. All grew up n a small down in Sicily before moving to San Diego where they all started working with Vincenzo Lo Verso, who inspired them to come up with their own concept and open a restaurant as a team. They call it “your farm to neighborhood eatery.”
