Jon Taffer’s Show, Entering Its Second Season, Gets 20 More Episodes
If you’re bar needs rescuing, then you’re got more of an opportunity to have it overhauled by Jon Taffer.
His popular Bar Rescue show, in which he goes into establishments and works on everything from the staff to the menu to the decor (to say nothing of the attitude of a place) has just been picked up for a third season. Spike TV has ordered an additional 20 episodes, which will carry the Sunday night program into 2013.
And this is on the heels of the show just starting its second season.
That second season, which premiered on July 29, has averaged 1.3 million viewers and improved the timeslot by 100% with men 18-49 and 89% with “persons” 18-34.
In Season 3, Taffer will continue to do what he’s done in Seasons 1 and 2: Visit a failing bar in cities all around the USA. Taffer pulls no punches and values bottom lines above hurt feelings. He employs a proven scientific approach to solving the problems hindering a bar’s success.
And, apparently, viewers love it and so does Spike TV.

This is a very nice show. This is for people who are addicted to bars and pubs. They really help you and tell you how to get away from this sort of addiction and how to avoid it and not make it an addiction.
