Stella Artois, Leffe And Hoegaarden Also Served With Stella Hosting A Beer Luncheon

You don’t have to drink wine at the the San Diego Wine & Food Festival.
Beer lovers can feast, too, with premium Belgian beers Stella Artois, Leffe and Hoegaarden.
The beers are poured at the two main events, Friday night’s The Vault tasting and Saturday’s Grand Tasting, and a Friday luncheon with Stella Artois paired with foods specifically created for the beers by Chef Carl Schroeder and Chef de Cuisine Ted Smith.
A two-time James Beard Foundation Semi-Finalist for Best Chef: Pacific, Chef Schroeder is known for his simple recipes with complex tastes and holds a true passion for local, sustainable ingredients.

Belgian Master Beer Sommelier Marc Stroobandt, a member of the British Guild of Beer Writers, will provide commentary on each of the beer pairings. He’s such an authority on food and beer pairings that he was awarded an honorary knighthood by the Chevalerie du Fourquet des Brasseurs of the Confederation of Belgian Brewers.
The Stella Artois luncheon is Friday, Nov. 22, from noon-2 p.m. It takes place at Bankers Hill Bar + Restaurant, 2202 4th Avenue, San Diego, CA.
The cost is $95 and the attire is casual. Hey, it’s beer!
Cheers!
