Summerita, Stawberry Sangria And Miami Ice Made With Flavored Ice Cubes
I had always thought of Dave & Busters as being the kind of place where you go to play those arcade games – air hockey! – you loved as a kid or while in high school, except now you can (legally) drink beers while doing it.
I had never considered it the kind of place to go for cocktails. And certainly not one that creates cocktails. But apparently things have changed since my last visit (which, admittedly, was several years ago).
Because now Dave & Busters has created three new summertime cocktails, a Strawberry Watermelon Summerita, a Strawberry Sangria and the Miami Ice Snow Cone. And they have this creative twist: they utilize flavored ice cubes.
Here’s a breakdown of each drink:
• Strawberry Watermelon Summerita: Margaritaville Tequila Gold, DeKuyper Watermelon Pucker, Finest Call Watermelon puree and Minute Maid Lemonade, shaken and poured over strawberry ice cubes.
• Strawberry Sangria: Cruzan Strawberry Rum, Canyon Road White Zinfandel and Strawberry Bacardi Premium Mixer, poured over strawberry ice cubes and topped with a splash of club soda.
• Miami Ice Snow Cone: Skyy Infusions Coconut Vodka and Malibu Coconut Rum mixed with Minute Maid lemonade and Strawberry Bacardi Premium, poured over crushed ice like a snow cone.
This is certainly not the Dave & Busters that I know but perhaps it’s time I gave the place another look.
