‘We Shall Return,’ to Same Spot the Owner Proclaims As Building Gets Replaced With New Four-Story Complex
It’s moving out, but not moving.
That’s the situation with New Old Lompoc brewery and pub, which has signed a new lease in the same location and will be re-opening in the summer of 2013.
But first, it must close.
The building at NW 23rd Ave., is being demolished in April, but a new building iw taking its place and will be the future home of the perfectly appropriately named New Old Lompoc. The last day of the old pub, which is being called Lompocalypse, is April 28.
“We shall return!” Lompoc owner Jerry Fechter said, quite creatively.
“Maybe not as dramatic as General McArthur, but we have signed a new lease on NW 23rd Ave. with developer CE John Company.
“The pub will be built in the exact same location on the block, only in the new building that is to replace our beloved pub.”
The new pub will be a bar and restaurant only, with the brewing moving to the Lompoc Brewery at 3901 N Williams Ave. There will no longer be a patio in the back, but a large one in the front of the building, with a portion of it covered and heated.
The new structure will be four-story, mixed-use building with retail on the first floor, 24 apartment units above the retail, and parking.
