SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–As Americans continue to flock to the outdoors in record numbers, Hipcamp and REI Co-op today announced the #SaveASpot sweepstakes, a summer-long campaign that will award 10 immersive, outdoor experiences to campers from across the nation.
Would-be campers can enter to win a getaway until Aug. 15, 2022, and winners will be selected at random.
Winners will receive an overnight stay at one of five Hipcamp sites that have been fully outfitted with REI-curated gear, available for purchase at the scan of an onsite QR code. They’ll also be able to share the experience with a friend or family member.
“Imagine arriving at a seaside ranch or an incredible mountain vista to find your campsite set up and waiting with your dream list of gear,” said Hipcamp Head of Partnerships Kristen Vasan. “We see an opportunity to create more magical experiences by surprising and delighting Hipcampers with gear and amenities that will make their trip unforgettable. We’re thrilled to collaborate with REI by delivering some of the most popular outdoor gear to campers at our one-of-a-kind Hipcamp sites.”
REI and Hipcamp conducted extensive user research before determining which gear to include at #SaveASpot Hipcamp sites. Based on that research, each site will include basecamp essentials for sleeping, cooking, relaxing, and exploring. Because the majority of campers named stargazing and hiking as a few of their favorite camping activities, winners of the giveaway can look forward to onsite telescopes, stargazing guides, and a quick-reference book for mushroom foraging.
Additionally, every Hipcamp site will include:
- An entire cookware system from Coleman, OXO, Barebones, Hydroflask, and Stanley
- A sleeping system featuring the ENO DoubleNest Hammock and SnowPeak tarp
- A NEMO Helio LX Pressure Shower and Kelty Blockhouse Privacy Shelter
- An REI Co-op Wonderland 6 tent and Levitate Sleeping Platforms
- The SOLO bonfire pit
- Kuju Coffee pour-over pods
- Selk’bag wearable sleeping bags
- A GoPro camera
- A Matador towel, stuff sack, and waterproof canister
