WHAT: A gathering of tens of thousands of people in a remote Nevada desert to celebrate life.

ABOUT THE EVENT: A spiritual happening in which people set up in specific areas, known as “camps” and move out to meet, mingle and enjoy a carefree lifestyle for several days. People need to bring everything and leave nothing when they leave the event. There is nothing to buy and  the people – known as “burners” – share everything.  A highlight is the burning of the “man,” similar to a bonfire for a college homecoming. There are no accommodations and no food or drink for sale so bring what you need for the entire time. Be prepared for hot days and cold nights with frequent desert wind storms.
