WHAT: A wild and crazy start to the Fourth of July in which participants run a mile, paddle a mile in the ocean, then down a 6-pack of beer. It’s all timed and there are “beer judges.” Then there’s a run around a mosh pit while a punk band plays on the beach.
WHEN: Fourth Of July. Prime time for spectators is 9-11 a.m.
WHERE: On the sand, 28th Street in Hermosa Beach, CA.
