Lifts Open, Party At The Summit & Village Fireworks

Looking to hit not just your peak but a peak on the Fourth of July?
Then head to Mammoth Mountain in California.
Mammoth is celebrating the 4th in a myriad of ways, literally from top top bottom. The main lodge runs are open and there’s a party at the summit and a parade in town.
And at night, fireworks in the Village.
Here’s what’s happening from the slopes to the streets in Mammoth for the 4th of July.
On The Mountain For The 4th
Yes, the mountain is open to skiers and snowboarders. The lifts start running at 7 a.m., from Main Lodge (Canyon Lodge and Eagle Lodge are closed). Starting at 11, there’s a party at the summit featuring a DJ and group photo. This lasts until 1.
Be sure and be there at 12:30 for a beer ticket giveaway to the first 100 skiers and boarders. At 1 it’s the last run of the season.
Then it’s straight to the Yodler for a season-ending party. There’s free beer for anyone holdinga ticket, plus live music and drink specials. This lasts until 4 p.m.
Lift ticket are $65.
In Mammoth Town For The 4th
At 10 a.m., there’s a Foorloose Freedom mile run. This is followed at 11 by an Independence Day Parade at Main Street and Old Mammoth Road.
At 9, there are fireworks at Crowley Lake.
In The Village For The 4th & Fireworks
Throughout the day there are DJs and live music and at night a “fireworks extravaganza” in The Plaza.
There’s also live music at 53 Kitchen.
