Opening Day Features Fresh Powder, Live Music & A Beer Toast

Just in time for the opening of the 2015-16 ski and snowboard season, Mammoth Mountain is getting fresh snow.
There’s more than a foot of snow at Main Lodge and more than two feet at the top of the mountain. Mammoth opens on Thursday, Nov. 5.
More snow is predicted throughout Wednesday. Thursday’s forecast is for mostly sunny skies with a high of 32 and a low of 22. Conditions are windy, 30 to 40 miles an hour.
Looking ahead to the weekend, there’s full sunshine set for Friday, Saturday and Sunday with highs reaching into the upper 40s.
Lift ticket prices for opening day are $50 if purchased in advance on line.
Broadway Express (Chair 1) and Facelift Express (Chair 3) will open with access to Saddle Bowl, Broadway, and Andy’s Double Gold. Things begging with al Broadway Express banner breakthrough and annual sundeck beer toast. There’s also live music.
If this continues, then you may want to dig the skis and/or snowboards out off the back of the closet and plan to be there for Thanksgiving, for the resort is offering a fourth night free from Nov. 11-Dec. 13.
