Where To Eat & Drink Cheap On Weekends

The arrival of the weekend doesn’t mean the end of the Happy Hours.
Here’s where you can eat and drink for cheap on the Hermosa Beach Pier in this
quintessential Southern California Beach City.
• Fat Face Fenner’s Faloon Saturday Happy Hour
This casual beach bar – and sports destination for Boson transplants – is upstairs and overlooks the pier. But wait: it’s now closed. It’s being transformed into a new beach bungalow bar, still to be owned by Sharkeez.

• The Mermaid Saturday Happy Hour

This bar right on The Strand offers views of the passing bicyclists, runners, walkers and the occasional rollerblader, plus those playing beach volleyball on the court just outside the door.
It also features bartenders (all good-looking girls but not dressed in any kind of provocative outfits so it’s not like Hooters or anything) who make the best mixed drinks on the pier.
There’s always a Drink of the Week on the Happy Hour menu and if are in the mood for a cocktail, PubClub.com recommends getting the Drink of the Week, no matter what it is, because it will be very, very good.
Happy Hour, which goes from 3-6:30, seven days a week, also includes beers and wines for $5.
Usually, a number of locals come in around 6 for a couple rounds of drinks, so it has a good, fun crowd, though it’s not super crowded unless an event is happening in Hermosa.
Happy Hour Details: 3-7p.m., and 10 p.m.-close. $5 beers (changes weekly), house wines and the Drink of the Week.
If you are wondering about American Junkie, it no longer offers its Happy Hour on weekends.
REDONDO BEACH HAPPY HOUR
There is another weekend Happy Hour, at Kincaid’s on the Redondo Beach Pier. It goes from 3-6 and 9-close and includes $5 wines and all its draft beers. There are appetizer specials, as well.
Cheers!
