Put on by Smackfest Events, the organization also has beach volleyball classes, leagues and another tournament, as well as a kickball class on its 2023 schedule. Here is a breakdown of each event with dates and signup information.
• Smackfest 2023
The date is July 29 at the Hermosa Beach Pier. Registration opens on June 1. This year’s event is the 27th annual Smackfest. It is an annual rite of summer in the Los Angeles Beach Cities. Coed teams of all skill levels compete in different classes, all while dressed in themed costumes.
For those not playing, it it is free and open to the public to attend.
Hermosa Beach Volleyball Classes
The classes begin March 16 – the day before St. Patrick’s Day – with Saturday classes starting April 1. And that’s no fooling.
Hermosa Beach Volleyball Leagues
The Coed 4’s volleyball league begins play March 14.
Hermosa Beach Kickball League
This coed league begins play March 22.
The Spring Classic Volleyball Tournament
This beach volleyball trournament includes live music, games, gooze, food
and and a lot more fun activities. The location is Seaside Lagoon in Redondo Beach and the date is April 1. No fooling again!
