LA’s Boomtown Brewery Releases Supterturbo, An Artist-Inspired DIPA

DLTA Craft Brewery’s Newest Craft Beer Comes In Colorful Cans

DTLA’s Boomtown Brewery has released a new DIPA, an artist-inspired craft beer called Superturbo.

Superturbo packs a punch of lychee, melon and citrus. It is a hazy DIPA (coming in at a weighty 8.4%) concocted of Cryo Mosaic, Mosaic, Citra, Vic Secret, and A Queen hops.

But that may not be the most creative aspect of the beer. That would be its rightly-colored can. It is kind of mix of California beach life and the Grateful Dead, a piece of artwork created by the multi-talented artist Joe Tamponi. He is originally from Italy but has long been in love with California and it shows in his can design. Bright, bold and slightly offensive, it’s a flashback to the 90’s. It is part of Boomtown Brewery’s Artist Canned Collaboration.

At the brewery, the beer is available on tap and in the colorful cans. You can also get it to go; four packs of the cans are sold for $20.

There are also a limited number of t-shirts available at the brewery.
