Independence Day On The Back Bay Involves Live Music, Beer & Wine Garden, Food Trucks And Water Sports
Newport Dunes hosts Independence Day On The Back Bay, a celebration involving DJs, bands, food trucks, a number of water sports activities, fireworks and an after-the-fireworks party.
The facility opens at 8 a.m., the entertainment starts at 2, and the day/night is capped by the fireworks starting at 9 p.m.
The cost for the concert is free, or $50 per car for all-day parking. There are VIP tickets for $60. VIP Includes upfront table seating near the stage, table waiter service and VIP bar VIP restrooms (no beach chairs) and priority access to the Barn Dance after-party hosted by DJ David Bugenske of Go Country 105 at Back Bay Bistro.
Naturally, there are full bars located throughout the venue serving beer, wine and cocktails. No outside alcohol is allowed.
The Back Bay Bistro, an excellent restaurant facing the water, is open and is serving food (and drinks) all day.
Newport Dunes water sports actives include an inflatable water park in the Back Bay, rentable kayaks, pedal boats, windsurfing, sail boats, electric boats, stand up paddleboards and Surrey bikes courtesy of Moe B’s Watersports. Pirate Coast Paddle also offers on-site rentals including kayaks, stand up paddleboards and multi-person paddleboards for groups of 4-10.
