Places To Say Erin Go Bragh & Be Irish In L.A.

Welcome to the PubClub.com Los Angeles Party Report, laddies & lasses, it’s St. Patrick’s Day!
Not only is it St. Paddy’s Day but March 17 is on a Sunday. So my first time is don’t get too hammered on Friday night and screw up your Saturday! Then again, it’s St. Paddy’s Day and you’ve got until Monday to recover.
Here’s a rundown of places and bars to be all weekend.
HERMOSA BEACH PARADE
Saturday, March 16, 2019
Okay, don’t confuse this with Boston, Chicago or New York City because you’ll be saying “what, that’s IT!?” Still, it has one advantage those other places don’t and that is the fact you don’t have to get their early or stand 10-deep behind people to see it.
It lasts a couple of causal hours and goes down Pier Ave., continuing a couple of blocks on Hermosa Ave.
Then it’s onto the bars to party! PubClub tip: Don’t wait too long to get into the bars because there are often lines, so make your move as soon as you see things starting to get crowded.

L.A. IRISH BARS
Here’s your complete rundown of the bars going Irish for St. Paddy’s Day. Oddly, it’s pretty difficult to find a bar with Irish bands.

MARCH MADNESS
It is a week later this year, so instead of the first four days of frenzy, we get the conference championship games and Selection Sunday.
NASCAR FONTANA SPEEDWAY
The fast cars of NASCAR are speeding around AutoClub Speedway in Fontana all weekend (race day is Sunday). If you want to park yourself – quite literally – then camp out in the infield. They will not race, however, in the rain.

PRO TENNIS AT INDIAN WELLS
The pros are at Indian Wells for the final weekend of this two-weekend tournament and here it’s a party! You don’t have to go to the matches but I’ll put a link into tickets in case you want to see the balls bounce.

SOUTH BAY LIVE MUSIC ON ST. PATRICK’S DAY WEEKEND
Saint Rocke has a U2 tribute band on Saturday night (assuming you’re still standing), The Slip has Acoustic Donkey (of Angry Donkey) in the afternoon (2-5) and the entire South Bay is buzzing about Mitch Perry – lead guitarist of RATT and a real rocker – being at Standing Room on Sunday nite. No cover.
That’s it for the PubClub.com Los Angeles Party Report for St. Patrick’s Day Weekend. For this and more, go to PubClub.com.
Irish cheers!
