You”ll find a Halloween party. And more.
Halloween 2018 is on Wednesday, Rocktober 31 with the big party weekend happening on the 26th and 27th. And there are plenty of spooky things happening in the Beach Cities of Hermosa, Manhattan and Redondo Beach that weekend.
Here’s the complete rundown.
SOUTH BAY SCREAM (FRIDAY, OCT. 26)
Also known to locals as “the Portofino Party,” this is the big singles party in the South Bay, tho this year it is not held at the private function room of the Portofino Hotel in Redondo Beach’s King Harbor.
Instead, it’s at Alta House in Hermosa Beach. That’s the former Ocean Bar.
Put on by local promoter Berry Bly, it features different rooms with different DJs in a combination of a South Bay casual yet also Vegas-hip atmosphere.
There’s tarot readers, performing artists and about 1,000 of many of the South Bay’s most available singles, all partying and in costume.
Tickets: $40 plus a $4.99 service fee in advance. There may be some available at the door, but that’s taking a chance since this is usually a sold-out party. There are also VIP package starting at $300 for a table with bottle service.
SPOOOOOK-TACULAR PARTY Party (OCT. 26)
Back by popular demand, Antoinette and Kristie are hosting this party at the Hawthorne Moose Lodge (13121 Inglewood Blvd, Hawthorne). There will be a costume contest and
Naughty Nadia and Radical Ramona will be mixing and serving the “poison of your choice.”
HAUNTED HOTEL (OCT. 27)
This is the second of Bly’s two Halloween parties. This one is at Shade Hotel in Redondo Beach. It features a haunted hotel theme with three DJs on two floors, including the top level. Tickets are $50, plus a $4.99 service fee.
• HEROES & VILLAINS, TERRANEA RESORT (Oct. 26)
It’s a Heroes & Villains theme party on Halloween Saturday at this resort overlooking the cliffs of Palos Verdes. DJs, dancing, a mad scientist bar and a $1,000 costume contest. Discounted tickets & a R/T party bus from the Beach Cities are available on the below link:
PORTOFINO BALEENKITCHEN BAR PARTY (OCT. 26)
This bar at the Portofino Hotel, called BALEENKitchen, is having a party.
There’s a costume contest, specials on certain drinks and no cover. Considering this is a popular bar among King Harbor boat owners, expect there to be pirates and wenches.
SAINT ROCKE HERMOSA BEACH HALLOWEEN (OCT. 31)
Closed for a private party on Saturday, Oct. 27. Seriel killer costume contest on Halloween night with music by Doyle Rules and a tribute to The Misfits. $10 cover.
THE SLIP BAR REDONDO BEACH HALLOWEEN NIGHT (OCT. 31)
This small bar yet lively in King Harbor along the International Boardwalk is having live music, a costume contest and “spooky” drink specials. There is no cover charge.
