Crawfish Festival, Hot Happenings In Vegas & Top South Bay Events Ticket Information
I’m starting out the Party Report by stating that I was apparently on the KTLA Morning News today. Standing next to cases of beer. Go figure! So reports my friend ‘Lil Brit; I did not see it – did you!?
Ragin Cajun Crawfish Festival Is Saturday
A taste – quite literally – of Louisiana comes to the South Bay on Saturday with the Rajin Cajun Crawfish Jamboree. Put on by Ragin Cajun restaurant it features fresh crawfish and shrimp flown in from the Bayou State. (Rajin Cajun co-owner Steve is going to the airport today to pick up those special passengers.) The event also involves bands, beers, food trucks and an overall Cajun atmosphere.
PubClub LIVE, with Kevbeaux and Soul Cole will be live streaming on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and even Twitter from the event all day and into the night. If you’re there, join us at our tent or as we roam the Seaside Lagoon grounds, or if you’re thinking about going to it, then you’ll be able to tune in to see what it’s like at that moment.
To watch the steaming, the social media channels are all @pubclub and below is a link to the Facebook page. We will be starting at around 11 a.m., then going at periodically throughout the day and evening. Bands play from 11:30 a.m.-9 p.m.

Kentucky Derby Party
Berry Bly is one again throwing his awesome Kentucky Derby party and for the second year in a row it’s at Shade Hotel in Redondo Beach. If you were at this party last year then no doubt you are going again this year. Tickets, now on sale, are $20. It’s Saturday, May 4, so you may have a choice to make between that and BeachLife. Or perhaps you go to this first and then to BeachLIfe. Ahhh, life in the Beach Cities.

March Madness
The first game is Saturday at 3 p.m., with the second game to follow at about 6. My bracket is already busted, but I know a few locals who will be glued to the Virginia-Auburn game. One is a Plainsman alumni and others have a win-it-or-lose-it situation with their brackets. I was watching the Purdue-Virginia game last weekend with one of the latter and was rooting for Purdue when he said, “why are you not pulling for my team? If the roles were reversed and YOU were at the top and I was in 30th place…” I got a good laugh out of that one and yes, I’m in 30th place. Out of 33 people. The second game is Michigan State-Texas Tech. Sparty will be well represented at the Hermosa Pier bars but Texas Tech!?
New Orleans JazzFest Update
Many people on the Party Report go to New Orleans for JazzFest so here’s an update on what was a busy week in the Big Easy. The Rolling Stones had to cancel their appearance, which was going to be an exclusive one-stage-only show to celebrate the event’s 50th anniversary, because Mick Jagger has to get a heart procedure. (The band also had to postpone its entire 2019 North American tour and are likely to condense it by playing weekdays as well as weekends starting in July.) Just yesterday, JazzFest announced Fleetwood Mac (and a few others) will be the replacements for the Stones. Full details are in the below story. Officials apparently did not consider my suggestion for making it a full Buffett concert, complete with motorhomes and even creating a beach. Buffett, however, is headlining that Sunday.
Electric Daisy Carnival Vegas Lineup
PubClub has the full lineup and details/prices of tickets for the 2019 Electric Daisy Carnival in Vegas.
Ibiza Comes To Vegas
Speaking of Vegas, this major act that started in Ibiza and has performed at every major party city on the planet now has a residency at Wynne. It’s kind of like EDC and big-time DJs with a Euorpean twist.
Check Out The Press Event I’ll Be At Tonite – F1 Simulators in Hawthorne
This is way cool – Base51, a racing simulator facility in Hawthorne, is having a press event tonite. Their simulators are so realistic, apparently, that I had to sign a waiver form! After having thrills on the racetracks of the world, they added a nice element for us members of the media: food and cocktails!
Ahh, the life of PubClub.
Below is a link to the facility’s website, which you can check out for yourself. After reading my review of the place, of course.

That’s it for the PubClub.com Party Report! Be sure to tune into PubClub LIVE with Kevbeaux and Soul Cole or join us at the Crawfish Jamboree!
Cheers!
