The Smoking Gun, a bar and restaurant in San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter, is all fired up about its new dinner & drinks menu.
So this is what there now is to eat and drink at this causal hangout on 6th & Market which, by the way, has a cool arcade area, as well as several TVs for watching the Padres and other sports teams.
- Chimichurri Wagyu Steak Skewers, top sirloin finished with pickled onions and chimichurri sauce.
- Smoked Brisket Flautas – smoked prime brisket, salsa fresca, avocado cream, and cotija cheese.
- Street Corn Skillet with roasted garlic aioli, cotija cheese, Valentina Hot Sauce, and micro cilantro.
- Smokin’ Hot Chix Sandwich – chicken thigh, ghost chile buttermilk batter, pepper jack cheese, bacon, pickle slices, secret sauce, all on a brioche bun.
- “Filet-O-Fish” Sandwich, made with mahi mahi, panko batter, American cheese, caper tartar sauce, served on a brioche bun.
- Smoked Brisket Sandwich, comprised of ½ pound of smoked prime brisket, pickled onion, tomato, baby spinach, bbq mustard, on sourdough with a side of bbq au jus.

- Prickle and Chill, made with vodka, green chili vodka, passion fruit, prickly pear, rhubarb bitters, strawberry, and lemon.
- Time After Thyme – gin, guava, thyme, grapefruit, and lemon.
- Black Berry Pearl, a concoction of spiced rum, blackberry, orange liqueur, pineapple, serrano bitters, and lime.
- Hot Mess, made with Blanco Tequila, red chili liqueur, honey, lemon, serrano bitters, and grapefruit zest.
- Mint To Be, with bourbon, peach, mint, angostura bitters, and lemon.
- You Brown Butter Believe It Old Fashion – Brown Butter Washed Rye, black walnut bitters, orange zest.
Cocktails are $11 – $14.
