For those who either want a license to chill or want to waste away again, Margaritaville Hotel San Diego is having a party for Padres Opening Day.
On Thursday, March 28, before the Padres take the field, the party will have started at Margaritaville. It begins at 11 a.m., with a live recording of The Margaritaville Podcast, License to Chill, at LandShark Bar & Grill, the downstairs bar.
There will also be prizes, food and drink specials at the poolside Five O’Clock Somewhere Bar.
The Margaritaville Podcast, License to Chill is weekly, 30-minute show with tropical lifestyle enthusiasts Ryan Middledorf and Patrick McDonald. They talk about the Margaritaville lifestyle, which is in sync with the San Diego lifestyle.
The Padres host the Atlanta Braves for a four-game series to begin the 2025 MLB season. First pitch on opening day is at 1:10 p.m. Margaritaville is a couple of blocks from Petco Park on Sixth Ave. & J Street. A Padres block party in front of the stadium will be held prior to Saturday’s game March 29.
