San Diego locals and longtime restaurateurs, Peter Yang and Mike Wu, are brothers who grew up in the restaurant industry, working as dishwashers, busboys, servers, line cooks — you name it. They have since launched numerous concepts. In 2020, Mike was recognized by Fast Casual Magazine as one of the nation’s top 25 executives. In 2018, Peter was selected as the featured honoree of Forbes 30 Under 30, as one of the youngest and most prolific restaurateurs in the U.S.
“Food is immensely emotional. We always tell our team that our guests “eat” the moment they open the doors to our restaurants,” said Mike Wu, Co-Owner of Shabu-Works. “So, besides a freshly made, well-balanced dish, we make sure all other senses are addressed — hospitality, ambiance, the details matter! By marrying a remarkable dish with great vibes, we get to create lasting experiences for our guests.”
Starting in September, Shabu-Works San Marcos is located at 575 Grand Ave #100, San Marcos, CA 92078. Its website is: www.shabuworks.com.
