First it was the food.
Then it was the drinks and the partying.
Now its the casinos.
Just days after closing the buffets at all its properties then its nightclubs and dayclubs – including one of the hottest clubs in Vegas, Hakkasan, and its Wet Republic Ultra Pool – MGM Resorts has closed its Las Vegas casinos.
Up the Strip, Wynn Resorts has done the same, meaning the XS nightclub and its afternoon pool party place, Encore Beach Club, are dark until further notice. It too, has shut down its food buffets.
Those who enter the Wynn and Encore properties are being screened by “non-invasive” thermal cameras. Anyone registering a fever of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit (38 degrees Celsius) or higher will be stopped by security guards and will be asked to leave the property.
MGM Resorts owns several Vegas hotels: Aria, Bellagio and, Delano and Mandalay Bay and Vdara. It’s nightclubs and dayclubs are: Hakkasan, 10AK, JEWE, Light, On The Record, Foundation Room, Skyfall Lounge, the Daylight Beach Club, Moorea Beach, Liquid Pool Lounge, Bare Pool Lounge, JEMMA, Temptation Sundays at Luxor and Wet Republic Ultra Pool.
So fa the casinos, including bars, buffets, pool parties at Caesars Entertainment Corp. properties (Harrah’s, LINQ, Rio, Paris, Bally’s, Flamingo and The Cromwell)Las Vegas Sands Corp. and Boyd Gaming Corp., remain open and, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, have no plans to close. For now, anyway.
