NYE Along The LV Strip From A Unique Perspective
The Monorail is opening the Third Rail Lounge, an exclusive, elevated event venue at the Las Vegas Convention Center station, for a party. It provides panoramic views of the fireworks along the Strip with floor-to-ceiling windows in a lounge-style atmosphere.
There’s unlimited beer and wine as well as hors d’oeuvres and entertainment – including live performances by musical act Taj accompanied by DJ Livinh, who will lead a New Year’s countdown. There will be a champagne toast at midnight, party favors and access to a themed party photo booth with a souvenir print.
A cash bar is also available for those wanting cocktails. It goes from 8 p.m.-1 a.m.
“We’re delighted to introduce a first-ever New Year’s Eve experience to Las Vegas, where celebrations are world-famous,” says Ingrid Reisman, vice president and chief marketing officer, Las Vegas Monorail. “The elevated location and panoramic views of the Strip fireworks show will certainly lend a ‘wow’ factor to the evening.”
The Third Rail Lounge New Year’s Eve Party also includes unlimited Monorail rides for 24 hours. It’s important to know that the Monorail is the only transportation available on the Strip during New Year’s Eve because the Strip is closed for this NYE block party.
Everyone will will also receive a reusable travel cup and enjoy a specialty cocktail at each of the Monorail’s “refill stations” located at select stops along its four-mile route.
Tickets are $175 per person or $300 per couple. Purchase in advance at the Las Vegas Monorail website.
Of course, you can ride the Monorail without going to the party. The cost is $5 per trip or $12 for a one-day pass. You can take your own drinks on the Monorail in covered containers. Third Rail Lounge NYE partygoers receive travel cups for refills at select Monorail stations.
The Monorail runs on weekends – and NYE – until 3 a.m.
