Manhattan Beach Open AVP Beach Volleyball Tournament

WHAT: The 2016 Manhattan Beach Open – otherwise known as the Wimbledon of Beach Volleyball – features the world’s top players, some of whom are headed to the Rio Olympics.
SINGLES SCENE: Very good to potentially outstanding. Better for girls than guys (due to the larger number of men at this event). Excellent action in the bars, especially Shellback Tavern.
SCHEDULE: Thursday – Qualifying rounds. Friday & Saturday – main draw. Sunday: Finals at noon & 1:30 p.m.
TV: NBC will televise either the women’s or men’s final (TBD that weekend) from Noon-1 p.m.
