There’s Beer – And Plenty of It – At This Los Angeles-Area County Fair
County Fairs are way of life in the USA, and mostly they are recognized for rides, games and unhealthy but tasty food. The Antelope Valley Fair certainly has its share of those things, but it’s not one of those huge, overwhelming ones like the LA County Fair (which runs from Labor Day thru Oct. 2) that takes a bit of navigating to get one’s bearings. Instead, it’s held in an easily manageable area.
And that means you’re only steps from a beer at any given time!
It’s also a short walk to the stage featuring name bands. At least 10,000 people watch the bigger names. Many sat in grandstands that were included in their $9 admission to the fair (there are also tickets for seats closer to the stage).
The fair also has a Demolition Derby and professional bull riders.
And for those those who think the place is filled with nothing but families pushing strollers, think again. When the BarBlogger was there, the place had a good number of single people, including several local girls running around in their Daisy Dukes.
The Antelope Valley Fair is located at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds at Avenue H off the 14 freeway. It’s official website is avfair.com.
