Beaches, Lakes & Vegas Baby Are Hot 4th Of July Celebrations

The 4th of July 2020 is poised to be a real dud, with fireworks shows and events being canceled all across the country, but there are still spots where you can have a good time and, yes, party.
With that in mind, PubClub.com presents these top Fourth of July destinations where you can still celebrate (and party).
Just be sure and observe social distancing rules, wear a mask when not eating or drinking, don’t go out of you are sneezing or hacking or not feeling well and by all means wash your hands often or even carry hand sanitizer with you.
Beaches

As long as you’re not planning to go to Miami Beach (the mayor closed all the city’s beaches for the entire weekend) or Hawaii (which remains the equivalent of closed to visitors) then you can find fun at the beaches.
On the East Coast, there’s the Hamptons, the Jersey Shore, Ocean Beach in Maryland and places all up and down the eastern seaboard. One of the best scenes is in Southern California, land of the the endless summer where beaches are open from Santa Monica to San Diego.
One place you can be sure to find a party is in the Los Angeles seaside community of Hermosa Beach – with residents ready to storm the shore after the announced closure of all LA County beaches – and the morning Ironman (competitors run a mile, paddle a mile and down a six-pack, all to a cheering crowd and a punk rock band) and rows of house parties along The Strand, and the fun-in-the-sun San Diego sand spots of Mission Beach, Pacific Beach and Ocean Beach.
Lakes
As the Lake of the Ozarks showed us on Memorial Day Weekend, people party at the lakes. One report of people in a pool went viral, but disappeared as quickly as a poolside drink when there were not reports of any of those people testing positive for coronavirus. So that’s one party spots, along with Lake Travis in Austin (unless the governor closes the lakes) and Geist Reservoir just outside of Indianapolis. The IndyCars and NASCAR are also at speedway for a rare combination race weekend, tho no fans will be allowed into the stands or the infield. Las Vegas Pools

If mid-June was any indication, then the pools at the Vegas hotels are going to be quite the scene for party-minded people. As PubClub witnessed one Saturday, bikinis and board shorts are the daytime attire. It is important to note that masks are not required at the pools or when walking along the Strip, but are required when indoor, and that includes while playing the games, at a show and even in bars and restaurants. When you are not eating or drinking, of course.
Conclusion
Yes, overall the 4th this year will in all likelihood turn out to be a dud. But if you are able to go to one of these destinations, you just may create some of your own fireworks.
